This year the Light show consist of 50,000 incandescent lights plus 5,800 LED lights (3,000 pixels) on the Super Star, 2 Globe Tree, 4 Circles & Message Screen. The Supper Star is 20' tall, the Globe Trees are 14' tall, the Message Screen is 5' high x 16' wide and is 3 off the ground and the 4 Circles are 16' in circumference. The incandescent Mega Tree is on a 40' flag pole with 9,000 lights (64 double length strings) and a 60' circumference base. The display covers 2 acres and uses 10,000 ft of extension cords and 1,375 ft of Cat-5 cable. It draws a max total of 110 amps. The display is using 15 incandescent controllers and 61 logical controllers (43 physical controllers) for the LED lights. There are 5 Cat-5 networks for the LED lights and a wireless Network with 6 access points for the incandescent lights. All the lights and music are being controlled from a computer from within the house. The intensity of the LED lights washes out some of the LED's vivid colors. Camera limitations results in some color shift between the videos and the actual lights. |
